A Night of Impact
Glenwood’s Power of Possibilities Gala brought together families, friends, donors, community partners and advocates Saturday evening at The Club for a night filled with inspiring stories, meaningful connections and a shared belief in what is possible for the individuals Glenwood serves.
The inaugural event raised funds to support the construction of a new Glenwood residential home that will serve four adults, surpassing the evening’s fundraising goal and bringing Glenwood closer to creating a new place for four adults to call home.
Two Glenwood parents provided some of the evening’s most powerful moments as they shared their personal stories and spoke about the ways Glenwood has changed their lives and the lives of their families. Their stories offered guests a firsthand look at the impact of Glenwood’s work and the difference that compassionate support can make for individuals and their families.
Guests also experienced a day in the life of the individuals Glenwood serves through a specially produced video that showcased the people, programs, relationships and everyday moments that make Glenwood unique. The video provided an inside look at the impact being made across Glenwood each day.
The energy in the room continued to build during the live auction, which generated plenty of excitement and friendly competition among guests. The enthusiasm was a reflection of the generosity and commitment that made the evening such a success.
The evening also provided an opportunity for Glenwood to recognize the Drummond Family and Drummond Company for their longstanding support of Glenwood. Their generous sponsorship of the inaugural Power of Possibilities Gala helped make the event possible, while their continued commitment to Glenwood has made a lasting difference in the lives of the individuals and families the organization serves.
The new residence will expand Glenwood’s residential community and provide four adults with a place where they can experience the comfort, stability and connection of home while receiving the support they need to live meaningful, fulfilling lives.
The Power of Possibilities Gala was more than an evening of fundraising. It was a celebration of the individuals Glenwood serves, the families who entrust their loved ones to Glenwood, and the many people who continue to invest in a future filled with greater possibilities.
