Thank You, Capstone!

Glenwood was honored to nominate the winner for Outstanding Corporate Citizen for the AFP National Philanthropy Day award luncheon. Capstone Collegiate Communities (C3) will forever hold a special place in our hearts.  AFP shared that “the Outstanding Corporate Citizen Award has been presented since 1982 to a business that has provided direct financial, in-kind, or volunteer support to non-profit organizations.

 

In 2016, C3 met with Glenwood volunteers and took on a lofty project. As part of the Glenwood capital campaign, they signed on to build three new homes on Glenwood’s main campus. Not only did they commit to build the homes, they also recruited additional manpower, products and funds needed to complete the building of three stunning homes. The lovely homes were completed in January 2018 and are now home to 16 children and adults with autism.

 

C3 went beyond where most corporate donors stop, using the first principle of fundraising of “give first.” Their enthusiasm and passion motivated their staff, partners, friends and vendors to give generously. Many of these new friends have continued supporting Glenwood. Congratulations, and thank you, to Capstone Collegiate Communities!
