UAB School of Public Health presents Glenwood’s Endowed Lecture Series

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Public Health, in partnership with Glenwood, is set to host the 2025 Glenwood Endowed Lecture Series on Monday, April 14, 2025. The event will take place at the UAB Alumni House, located at 1301 10th Ave S, Birmingham, AL 35294.

This year’s lecture series will focus on enhancing services for older adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The event features two distinguished speakers:
- Dr. Jonathan Baker, Ph.D., BCBA-D, LBA: Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Psychology at Western Michigan University. Dr. Baker will lead a discussion on behavior analytic services for older adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Rita Gardner: President and CEO of Melmark. Ms. Gardner will present “Planning for Aging in Place: One Organization’s Journey,” sharing insights from her extensive experience in managing services for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.

- Welcome and Introduction: 9:30 a.m.
- Dr. Jonathan Baker’s Presentation: 9:45 a.m.
- Break: 10:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
