At Glenwood, our Model of Care is the foundation that guides everything we do. It shapes how we support individuals, how we work together as teammates, and how we carry out our mission and vision each day. The four principles, Create a Positive Reaction, Flow with the Force, Slow Down and Think, and Find the Need, provide a shared framework that helps ensure consistency, compassion, and intentionality across all programs and campuses at Glenwood.

In that spirit, Glenwood’s Model of Care committee recently hosted a small staff appreciation initiative at both Glenwood at Sicard Hollow and Glenwood at Avondale. On two back-to-back Friday mornings, team members were greeted with fresh biscuits as they arrived to start their day. The simple gesture was designed to Create a Positive Reaction by offering a warm, welcoming moment at the beginning of a busy shift.
These moments reflect our Model of Care in action. They remind us to Slow Down and Think, Flow with the Force of daily demands, and Find the Need by recognizing that encouragement and connection matter. While simple, these efforts reinforce a culture where staff feel valued, supported, and ready to provide exceptional care every day.
