34th Annual Ireland Legacy Golf Tournament Raises More Than $200,000

Glenwood is proud to announce the tremendous success of its annual golf tournament, which raised more than $200,000 in support of adults with autism and behavioral health needs across Alabama.

Held at Old Overton, this year’s event brought together golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners for a day of competition and purpose. From early morning ceremonial first swing with Glenwood adults to the final putt, the course was filled with energy, generosity, and a shared commitment to making a difference.

Funds raised from the tournament will directly support Glenwood programs and services, including residential care, education, therapy, and enrichment opportunities that help individuals live more independent and meaningful lives.

“We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support of our sponsors, players, and volunteers,” said Justin Ragland, Glenwood Marketing and Communications Director. “Raising more than $200,000 through this event is a powerful reminder of what our community can accomplish when we come together for a shared mission.”

The tournament featured a full day of play, on-course contests, team prizes, and an awards celebration recognizing top performers and standout moments from the day. Sponsors played a critical role in the event’s success, helping ensure that every dollar raised goes back into services that directly impact individuals and families served by Glenwood.

In addition to competitive play, the event highlighted the deeper purpose behind the tournament: expanding access to care, strengthening programs, and supporting individuals with autism at every stage of life.

Planning is already underway for next year’s tournament, with hopes of building on this year’s momentum and continuing to grow community support.
