This week marked an important milestone for Glenwood as we officially launched our Model of Care, a shared framework that guides how we support, serve, and show up for one another every day.
While many of the principles within the Model of Care will feel familiar to our team, especially those rooted in our Managing Crisis Safely training, this launch represents something deeper. It reflects a collective commitment to intentionally practice these principles in every interaction, creating consistency, clarity, and confidence across our organization. The Model of Care is designed to be proactive, relationship-centered, and grounded in dignity, safety, and respect for every individual we serve.
To celebrate this step forward, we hosted Model of Care launch parties at our locations throughout the week. These gatherings were more than just celebrations. They were opportunities to connect, reflect, and build shared ownership around the values that shape our work. Staff came together to learn, ask questions, and engage in meaningful conversations about how the Model of Care shows up in real life, from daily routines to moments of challenge.
The energy at each launch event was encouraging and affirming. Teams expressed excitement and embraced the Model of Care as a tool that strengthens not only our services, but our culture. It was clear that this framework resonates because it aligns with who we already strive to be, while giving us a clearer path forward.
As we move ahead, the Model of Care will continue to guide our decisions, our training, and our approach to care. This launch week was just the beginning, and we are excited to see how these shared practices continue to shape positive outcomes for the individuals, families, and communities we serve.
