Children’s Residential Services
Glenwood’s Children’s Residential Services provide safe, supportive homes where children can feel secure and valued.
Children’s Residential
Our residential homes house individuals with autism, intellectual disorders, or developmental delays. Located throughout the Birmingham metro area, these homes offer a safe, supportive environment where children and adolescents can thrive. Our Child Residential Services are designed to integrate with the Allan Cott School, ensuring that residents receive a well-rounded education and care experience. Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the program focuses on helping each individual live life to their fullest potential.
Each individual has an individualized person-centered plan of care that drives their treatment. These plans are unique to the individual and capture their wants, needs, abilities and preferences. Through the individual’s eyes, we assist them in developing their skills and talents to reach their personal goals. Daily living instruction focuses on building important skills for social interactions and positive relationships, effective communication, community living, and self-care.
