Glenwood Celebrates Opening of New Kindergarten Building

Glenwood recently celebrated the opening of its new kindergarten building at the Sicard Hollow location, marking an important milestone in the growth of its early learning programs.

Glenwood’s Kindergarten Program provides a specialized, individualized learning environment for young children with autism. The program focuses on foundational behavioral, communication, and academic skills that support successful transitions into home school systems.

Originally launched as a pilot program with Hoover City Schools, the kindergarten quickly doubled in size within its first year. The newly renovated space allows Glenwood to serve additional students while maintaining the small-classroom, team-based approach that ensures each child receives individualized support.

The opening reflects Glenwood’s continued commitment to creating intentional spaces that foster learning, growth, and long-term success for the children it serves.
