Adult Residential Program
At Glenwood, we believe every person deserves a safe and nurturing home. Our Residential Program empowers individuals with the support and resources they need to live meaningful, fulfilling lives.
Adult Residential Program
Glenwood’s adult residential program provides homes for adults 19 and older with autism or other behavioral health needs. Rooted in community and compassion, the program offers opportunities to develop social, communication and vocational skills through Glenwood’s day programs.
Each home features private bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, communal living spaces, and areas for private visits with family and friends. Adults are paired with housemates, who often become lifelong friends, and receive personalized care plans that promote independence while respecting their individual choices.
Residents also receive health services from dedicated nurses, and the program provides access to many amenities, including a lake, fishing pond, swimming pool, gymnasium, hiking trails and art classes. Several homes are on Glenwood’s Sicard Hollow location, with others are located throughout central Alabama community.

CHILD RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM
Our child residential program offers a nurturing, structured environment for children with autism, intellectual disabilities or developmental delays.
Operating 24/7, the program provides access to a K-12 school, health services, a cafeteria, sensory room and basic living skills room, along with fun amenities at our Sicard Hollow location, including a lake, fishing pond, swimming pool, gymnasium, playground and hiking trails. We also have an arts center that offers classes and activities led by instructors and guest artists, providing participants with opportunities to explore art, music, and movement.
Through therapeutic support, education and care, we empower each child to reach their full potential in a safe and enriching environment.
