Glenwood Launches Summer Social Skills Groups for Children
Glenwood Behavioral Therapy Center is excited to announce our Summer Social Skills Groups, beginning Monday, June 2 and running through August 4, for children ages 8–12 who are Medicaid eligible and have dual diagnoses (such as ADHD and Autism, ODD and Autism, etc.).
These weekly groups are designed to help children grow essential social and emotional skills in a fun, supportive environment. Each session will focus on key areas such as:
- Friendships – Making and maintaining positive relationships
- Communication Skills – Improving verbal and non-verbal interactions
- Flexible Thinking – Adapting to new situations and managing emotions
Groups will meet every Monday and are offered in both in-person and telehealth formats to best meet the needs of families.
The goal of this program is to help children feel more confident in social situations while building skills that are foundational for success in school, relationships, and life, as we make learning them engaging and approachable.
Whether your child struggles with making friends, managing big feelings, or communicating clearly, this program offers a safe space to learn, grow, and connect with others.
Spots are limited, so families are encouraged to register early.
