As summer nears, parents of children with autism, as well as parents of typically developing children may become concerned that their child will regress, or lose some of their skills they developed during the school year. Glenwood offers many rich and rewarding experiences during the summer for children ages 6 to 17 with Autism or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and typically developing peers.
Our Summer Day Program can provide a child/adolescent with opportunities to discover new things, participate in activities and continue their progress and development, both socially and academically. Similar to traditional summer camps, activities could include swimming, arts and crafts, plays and skits, talent shows, movies, sing-a-longs, dancing, and structured learning activities (academic, social skills, communication skills, and independent working skills).
The 2016 Summer Day Program will run from Jun 8 to July 29. If interested in more information please call (205) 212-6726.
