Glenwood is proud to provide services to help adults with autism become integrated into the community, participate in activities of interest, maintain valuable relationships, and live as independently as possible. We offer multi-faceted programs to help adults live, work, and learn in environments best suited for their individual needs, including our day program, residential programs, and community support.
Our Program offers the highest quality of care to provide personalized programs for individuals with autism in Alabama. Adults in our care can access ongoing educational resources and professional training programs to discover their passions and gain and keep employment. Here, your loved ones can thrive in their adult years through socialization, recreation, and pursuing their personal goals.
With the opportunity to explore new interests in fitness, culinary arts, arts and crafts, agriculture, and more, individuals with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities can learn and fully participate in activities they may not otherwise have access to. Community activities include excursions to volunteer, explore, enjoy field trips, and work.
The Sullivan Center
The Sullivan Center is an adult habilitation program that provides training and support to enable and increase independent functioning, communication, socialization, community integration, self-direction, and responsibility. Classes are held on weekdays.
Journey Academy
Journey Academy provides an authentic community experience for adults with autism in a comfortable, controlled environment. Participants learn hands-on vocational skills in a real-life setting. Activities include volunteer, leisure, and work-related outings, as well as activities in the building.
