Parents or guardians of a child with ASD, please take this survey.

Hello, my name is Grace Yoder, and I’m a graduate student at Ball State University. I’m writing a paper on parents of children with autism and your input would be a great help. I’m gathering information on how parents of children with autism cope with stress and how that relates to other aspects of their lives. The survey takes around 10-15 minutes to complete. Thank you so much for your assistance, and all you do for your child.

“The purpose of this survey is to look at how coping, empowerment, and life satisfaction relate to each other in parents of children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  Coping is how you react to stressful events. Empowerment describes your ability and confidence to gain control of your own life by influencing your surroundings.  Life satisfaction describes how your life measures up to your own personal standard. Findings from this research may help those working with parents and families of children with an ASD to work with them more effectively.

To be eligible to participate in this study, you must be above the age of 18 and currently be a guardian to a child with an ASD who is under the age of 18. You will be asked to complete a series of questions. It will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete the survey.”
