Junior Board of Glenwood
The event: The third annual “A Night Under the Big Top” at B&A Warehouse.
The scene: The Undergrounders played. Entertainment included a flame-thrower, juggler and other circus performers. A clown created balloon art for guests. Jamie Sellers showed some tricks from his famous magic repertoire. Some guests found luck at roulette and Texas Hold ’em at the casino tables. Other guests bid on their heart’s desire in the silent auction.
The tables were covered in spring-colored cloths with beautiful bright colored gerber daisies in colored glass vases Also on the tables were ticket rolls, popcorn, peanuts and confetti.
A grits station featured collard green pesto, cheddar, Andouille sausage, caramelized onion and sauteed mushroom toppings.
Something new at the third benefit were the big giveaways- a 36″ flat screen TV to Michele Pearson and Geno Pearson and a Nano and a Verizon BlackBerry phone to John Carter and Catherine Robinson.

This Junior Board is made up of 21 young professionals. The event raised $55,000 to be used to equip the new Glenwood Arts and Vocational Center with art supplies, furnishings, and supportive equipment. Funds raised will also assist in offsetting the costs of vocational training and arts instruction that is designed for children and adults with autism.
