The highly anticipated Ireland Legacy Golf Tournament brings together golfers for a great cause
The 32nd Annual Ireland Legacy Golf Tournament is set for May 6, 2024. The event supports services for adults with autism. It is named in honor of the Ireland family and in memory of Kitty, Kathy, Fay and Bill Ireland Sr., and Mallie and Glenn Ireland. The Ireland family was instrumental in founding Glenwood in 1974 to serve individuals with autism and behavioral health needs.
A heartfelt appreciation to our Title Sponsor, King Acura, for their unwavering support over 18 years! We feel incredibly fortunate to have such loyal backing from our community.

New Luncheon Event for Non-Golfers
This event is tailor-made for those passionate about supporting adults with autism, providing a fantastic alternative for those not playing golf. During lunch, guest speaker June Cline will entertain you with her wit and wisdom. She specializes in helping people use humor in their personal lives and as leaders to improve health and well-being.
The luncheon will start at noon after the golfers have hit the course. It will take place in the Old Overton Club Ballroom on May 6. Be one of the first to sponsor this unique event. Contact Scarlet Thompson to learn more, sthompson@glenwood.org or 205-795-3376.
Ireland Legacy History
Glenwood began in 1974 as a service for children with autism. As those children grew into adults, there were no services available for them. Glenwood adapted and added adult services. The golf tournament began as a way to support them. When families got together over 30 years ago to start the tournament, we’re sure they never imagined that it would raise over $3 million over the years. That goes a long way to help adults with autism develop independent living skills!
