The ribbon-cutting & open house ceremony for the Bluff Park Promise Home, Glenwood’s newest partnership, took place on Sunday, June 9, 2013. The 6-bedroom, 6-bathroom residential facility was made possible by Bluff Park UMC along with other local churches and organizations and will be managed by Glenwood. The house will be a permanent home for 6 individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Over 120 people from the community came out to show their support for the new home. Bill Pearson, from the Bluff Park United Methodist Community Ministries Foundation, led the dedication with a few words about the history of the Promise Home and expressed how much the partnership with Glenwood means to Bluff Park UMC. After Rev. Reid Crotty and Lee Yount shared some remarks, Rev. Crotty blessed the home. The ribbon was cut by Rev. Crotty and Lee Yount, along with Ramona and Austin, who will be 2 of the residents at the new Promise Home. Glenwood is excited about this new partnership!
