Zac was diagnosed with autism at the age of two. He was very shy and did not speak. His mother, Shawna, didn’t know what to do. They tried so many different things and nothing seemed to help.
That’s when their family found Glenwood’s Children’s Center for Applied Behavior Anaylsis (ABA) Therapy and enrolled Zac. He began to attend the program every day for a year, also receiving speech and occupational therapy. Within his first week of attending, he spoke his first words!
As the year continued, his personality grew. He even began singing songs. These were things that Shawna never thought she would hear. “I don’t know what I would have done
without Glenwood,” she said. “I can’t say thank you enough. Zac’s words are the best thank you that I could ever express.” She looks forward to seeing Zac continue to develop through the program.
