Teen With Autism Becomes Advocate

Taylor Morris was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome and autism at the age of 2. Her family was told that she would not learn to talk or walk, but she proved them wrong.

Currently, the National Honor Society student is 17 and plans on going to college and studying chemistry.

Taylor started a video blog that has been viewed 112,000 times. In the videos she talks about how difficult it is being 17 and dealing with the daily struggles of AS. In one of the videos she talks about creating her “own world”

She received the honor of becoming a collegiate spokesperson for the Autism Women’s Network.
