Glenwood, is a leader and expert in the autism field, with over 35 years in the field. Our practices are research based and practiced in our Allan Cott School and residential homes.
Consultation and Training contracts with area school systems and the State Department of Education to allow Glenwood to go into school systems statewide and lend assistance to teachers and other educational personnel through its Consultation and Training service. Special training seminars and hands on instruction can be tailored to a school system upon request. Glenwood staff is based locally and in Huntsville and Mobile to provide these services on a regional basis.
Teacher Training Glenwood is available to consult with teachers, therapist and professionals around the country (and even world) through our new Tele-Autism equipment. This state of the art video conferencing equipment provided through a Tandberg grant allows our experts to consult with professionals without ever leaving campus. All you need is the Tandberg video conferencing, which is installed in every high school in Alabama and is available in many other locations. It is our hope that the Tele-Autism equipment will reduce diagnostic wait time and bring increased autism awareness to rural communities. Early diagnosis leads to early intervention, and provides children and their families with hope.
