Glenwood Awards
Glenwood began and serves as a community-based organization and is proud of its following accomplishments:

In 2006 Glenwood’s President/CEO D. Lee Yount received the Women in Leadership Award from the Child Welfare League of America.

In 2003 Glenwood’s Research Committee was invited to present research at the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry’s Annual Meeting.

In 2002 Glenwood staff person Lisa Fultz received the RESPECT Award from the Office of Consumer and Ex-Patient Relations of the Alabama Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation

In 2000 Glenwood’s Director of Research presented at the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology’s Annual Meeting. In 1987 Glenwood held the first Alabama Conference on Autism.

In 2005 Glenwood and the UAB School of Public Health created the Glenwood Endowed Lecture Series, an annual event offering information on autism research and treatment.
